01 / Enterprise
Enterprise transformation
Cloud migration, operating model uplift, governance, resilience, FinOps, and data platform delivery in complex environments.
Beautec helps businesses connect people, data, workflows and AI to improve decisions, reduce chaos, and create measurable outcomes. The work below shows how that looks across enterprise programs, AI prototypes and growth advisory.
Beautec was shaped in complex enterprise environments — cloud transformation, operational resilience, data platforms, governance, and AI delivery across industries including government, logistics, ports, energy, education, hospitality and retail.
The work is consistent: find where data, decisions and operations are disconnected — then turn that into systems the business can actually use.
Today the focus is intelligent operational systems: multi-agent AI workflows, structured retrieval, operational visibility, automation, and decision support designed to work safely in real environments.
But the goal isn't “more AI.”
The goal is:
Beautec applies enterprise-level thinking in a practical way — from focused SMB engagements through to larger-scale data and AI transformation programs.
01 / Enterprise
Cloud migration, operating model uplift, governance, resilience, FinOps, and data platform delivery in complex environments.
02 / AI
Practical AI, agentic workflows, decision support, automation, and prototypes designed around real business problems — not gimmicks.
03 / Growth
Helping SMBs understand margin, customer behaviour, operational friction, product and channel performance, and where growth is being constrained.
The governance conversation is where most enterprise AI programs either hold or stall. The capability is rarely the bottleneck — the constraint is whether the program can be trusted enough to put into production. Three things shape how I approach this.
Governance & Auditability
Comprehensive logging, role-based access, and PII controls that prevent sensitive data from being ingested in the first place — getting that wrong creates legal exposure no model output can offset. The FAIRA framework I worked with at the Queensland council assistant is one expression. ISO 27001, NIST and ASD Essential Eight controls (established through TechConnect's Cloud Centre of Excellence) are another. FinOps governance extends the same discipline to AI and Copilot consumption.
Human Oversight
A clear example from my current environment: AI might draft a return-to-work plan for an injured worker, but a human clinician or case manager has to review and own that decision. The cost of getting it wrong is human, not just financial. Knowing which decisions need human review — and designing the workflows around that, rather than over-automating to chase efficiency — is part of the job.
Data Sovereignty
Many foundation models are hosted in the US, with limited Australian-resident options. For organisations handling regulated data — health, government, finance — this isn't a compliance checkbox; it shapes which models you can use, how you use them, and what data ever leaves your jurisdiction. My background spans both Australian and UK/EU regimes (PCI-DSS, GDPR), and I treat sovereignty as a question of what's actually happening to the data, not just where the contract sits.
Beautec's operating model — Tri-Layer Delivery — separates human strategy, agentic AI and execution into three streams running in parallel, with a continuous loop from delivery back to direction. It's how Beautec engagements absorb agentic AI as a first-class participant, not a bolt-on tool.
See the methodMost enterprise AI is still stuck in pilot — not because the capability isn't there, but because the operating model around it hasn't caught up. Governance, sovereignty, human oversight and the discipline of moving past prototype are where the real work sits.
Increasingly, the work is agentic — specialised models that collaborate, verify each other's outputs, and produce results no single model could deliver alone.
Helped the team move past a narrow predictive-maintenance brief and into a multi-agent operating model where specialised agents — anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, QA, explanation — collaborate through orchestrated workflows. Beautec's contribution was the commercial framing, the architecture call, and the risk controls around it.
Verification agents cross-check outputs, structured retrieval anchors responses to ground truth, and confidence thresholds gate downstream automation. Agents are far more useful when they QA each other than when they operate solo.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Can we shift from single-model AI to a multi-agent architecture without losing operational reliability?
Beautec contribution: commercial framing, architecture direction, risk governance.
Turned an exploration bottleneck into an executive-level opportunity: less manual review pressure while keeping geologists in control of the final decision. Earlier attempts treated drill-core analysis as a classical ML problem and stalled on image consistency. Modern vision agents collapsed much of that complexity.
A reference-led architecture: classified samples anchor the agent, which compares unread cores against known examples. The output is a prioritised review queue for human experts — not an automated geological decision.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Can vision AI accelerate exploration without taking geologists out of the decision?
Beautec contribution: use-case qualification, human-in-the-loop design.
Helped scope a drive-through personalisation system that connects customer experience, operational efficiency and a measurable commercial number. The architecture separates responsibilities cleanly: a vision agent identifies the vehicle, a retrieval agent fetches order history, a recommendation agent generates the upsell, and the menu adapts dynamically.
Modelled upside: +10–15% AOV, ~20% waste reduction, 5–10% retention lift — with structured handoffs keeping each decision verifiable.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Can we lift AOV and reduce waste without adding operational complexity at the drive-through?
Beautec contribution: commercial framing, architecture direction, value modelling.
Took the drive-through agent architecture and tested it in a second vertical — a café operator — to see what was genuinely reusable and what needed re-tuning. The core architecture (identity, retrieval, recommendation, dynamic presentation) held cleanly. The menu, product mix and operating model flexed to the new context.
The output: a clear view of which parts of the solution were portable, which needed vertical-specific work, and how the build could become a repeatable service offering rather than a bespoke prototype.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Is the drive-through agent architecture a reusable playbook, or a one-off?
Beautec contribution: pattern reuse, productisation, cross-vertical adaptation.
Built a cross-industry inspection prototype to show whether vision-plus-LLM agents could support safety, asset condition and infrastructure monitoring. The goal wasn't image classification; it was explainable reasoning a supervisor, engineer or safety lead could act on.
One test used thermal imagery of solar panels: the agent reasoned that yellow and red zones meant overheating cells while uniform blue and purple suggested healthy operation. The capability isn't the vision; it's the reasoning.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Can vision AI produce explainable safety reasoning a frontline supervisor can act on?
Beautec contribution: use-case portfolio shaping, solution governance.
Worked through a design-stage engagement for a citizen-facing council-services assistant. The hard part wasn't whether GenAI could answer the questions — it was whether the organisation could safely expose it to the public. The work centred on a custom AI risk governance framework — Fair, Accountable, Intelligent, Responsible, Aligned.
Made public-sector accountability requirements explicit and architecturally enforceable before deployment: auditability, escalation paths, role-based access, PII controls.
Decision unlocked
How do we safely expose GenAI to the public without breaking accountability requirements?
Beautec contribution: AI governance framework, public-sector risk design.
Scoped an early-stage POC for LLM-assisted assessment that could reduce marking effort without weakening educational quality or accountability. The model scored student answers against multi-dimensional rubrics — accuracy, completeness, understanding, clarity — with the human assessor staying accountable for the final judgement.
Defined the safe operating boundary: where AI could accelerate, where human review was required, and how rubric-based scoring could be made explainable enough for educators to trust.
Prototype work — designed to test commercial value quickly before larger investment.
Decision unlocked
Where can AI accelerate marking, and where must humans stay accountable?
Beautec contribution: use-case design, human oversight model.
Strategy and design engagements across data foundations — turning executive intent into platform direction and investment pathways. Modern data platform architecture for an Australian port operator with a lakehouse design positioned to support downstream ML use cases.
Data-as-a-Service for a renewables generator, optimisation algorithms for an energy operator's load and dispatch, and a data strategy for a national transport operator covering demand forecasting, route optimisation and fleet predictive maintenance.
Decision unlocked
What data foundation is needed before AI becomes useful?
Beautec contribution: executive advisory, data strategy, architecture governance.
Alongside the enterprise work, Beautec runs selective AI and growth advisory engagements at SMB scale — applying Tri-Layer Delivery on fixed-outcome contracts rather than time-and-materials. The scope is deliberately small, which keeps the delivery perspective grounded across industries.
Sizing addressable demand for an established golf equipment business, mapping competitor positioning, and pointing to the highest-leverage growth moves. Currently in active engagement.
Decision unlocked
Where is the most leverage in our addressable market, and which growth moves should come first?
Beautec contribution: market analysis, growth strategy, advisory delivery.
Growth strategy for a brand moving from regional specialty retailer to national premium presence. Pitch and engagement plan built; outreach in progress.
Decision unlocked
Can a regional brand position credibly at national premium scale, and what does the path look like?
Beautec contribution: positioning strategy, growth planning, engagement design.
I'm looking for AI and data leadership where strategy sits close to delivery. Organisations serious enough to invest in foundations, and brave enough to ship past the pilot.
The operators who get governance, oversight and sovereignty right early will be the ones whose programs survive past the hype cycle. That's the work I want to be doing.
